I have something new for you today! I have been planning to post about my beauty empties for months now but I just didn't have the time (and the motivation) to do all the things that need to be done. I got into thinking the past few days that my blog needs something new. So I decided to break these empties down and post them one by one with a thorough review of what I think about each product. I finished them down to the last drop so I can totally give them my whole, final thoughts now. Let's begin, shall we? 😊

This is the It's Skin Power 10 Formula VC Effector and it is my first Vitamin C serum ever. When I was new to KBeauty, I didn't know what was what. Yes, I researched but all of the terms were still so confusing to me so I did what an excited monkey would do. I purchased the best selling, cheap products I found in Althea to kickstart my Korean Skin Care Routine, haha.

I started using this serum last January 2017. It lasted until August as I have stopped using it by mid-May to July. That's a pretty decent amount of time to really get to know a product and test out its effectiveness and if it did some changes on your skin.

So, what is this product?
Althea Says: Just like an espresso shot in the morning, It's Skin's Power 10 Formulas gives your skin a little boost according to your skin's needs. This VC Effector is infused with vitamin C and green tea extracts that lighten dark spots and brightens your complexion. With hydrating properties that smoothen your skin texture as well, it's not hard to see why this is It's Skin's best seller from this range. This lightweight, fast absorbing concentrate applies on without leaving behind any sticky residue so it's super comfortable to wear on the skin. We love the fresh citrusy scent that it comes with too (reminds us of freshly squeezed orange juice!).
Packaging wise, the product didn't come with a box. It was just sealed with a plastic and is in a 30 mL glass bottle with a dropper for convenient and hygienic application.

The product itself is a slightly viscous translucent white liquid and has a citrus scent. But even though it has a slightly thick consistency, it is absorbed really well by the skin and does not leave a tacky feeling afterward. And it is not heavy at all. I used to apply this at night after my toner and then proceeded with my eye cream and moisturizer.

The 30 mL liquid content is enough to last you for about 3 to 4 months, depending on how much you use every application. So I think the price point of this product, which is ₱390, is pretty dope.

Now let's talk about its effectivity. To get to the point, I did not see results even after months of using this product. I didn't see it brightening my dark spots aka my acne scars and I didn't see it brighten my complexion either. It did moisturize my face and did not irritate my skin but as far as testing out what it claims, it just didn't work out for me. Maybe results can be seen after prolonged use? I don't know. But then, I have already found my holy grail Vitamin C serum which I am currently using (and so obsessed with) and I have seen great results with it! I'll talk more about it soon. 😉

So, will I repurchase this one? Hmmmm, I don't think so. As there's another product that is more effective even though I'd have to pay more.

Final thoughts: The product has potential and I have read a lot of good reviews about it. Its price is really affordable and it's suitable for normal to dry or combination skin. While it may have not worked for me, it has been effective for a lot of people so I think this isn't a bad product at all. It just happened that it didn't work on my skin. I'm going to give it a 3 out of 5 hearts.

The Verdict: ❤❤❤

For those who are interested in purchasing this serum, it is available at Althea Korea. I hope you will find this review helpful in any way. Thanks for reading, till next time!
